What word inspires you?
What does the healthy mean to you?
To me, ‘healthy’ is a way of living. It’s the wellbeing of my body, mind and spirit. It’s finding a balance in terms of exercise, nutrition, relationships, work, sleep, etc. It’s living your best and most fulfilling life!
What inspires you to get the most out of life?
I like to give myself little reminders on a daily basis about how precious life is. I tell myself that we only have one life and one body and we must take care of it. It might sound cliché, but I truly believe that we must make the most of every minute we have on this earth.
What's a quote that you live by?
“Pressure is a Privilege” – Peter Finnigan (my dad)
What has been your biggest fitness/confidence/body image challenge and how did you overcome it?
Honestly, my digestion issues and my immune system have been the biggest challenge for me. I suffer from severe allergies (food and seasonal) and IBS. The hardest part is attempting to get it all under control by being more aware of my lifestyle and diet. I am still on the search for a perfect remedy, but there are definitely things I have introduced into my diet that have improved my symptoms dramatically. GoLive Probiotic & Prebiotic Blends have been a game changer for my health -- I have one every day (before or after my workout) and my issues have noticeably decreased!
What is your favorite GoLive flavor?
Cucumber & Melon – the green one!
Why did you decide to become a fitness instructor?
I wanted to inspire others to lead a healthy lifestyle. For me, health is about finding balance between your mind, body and spirit and I believe this can be reached through exercise. Exercise also presents opportunities for growth and new experiences. Many of my most memorable life experiences have stemmed from my love and passion for fitness. If it weren’t for fitness (lacrosse specifically) I never would have moved to America!
What's your favorite way to treat yourself?
I like to treat myself either by taking a “rest day” (for my mind and my body) or with a jam donut from Doughboys in South Boston (that’s always worth it!!).
