#GoLiveBeYou | Eric Bourne

#GoLiveBeYou | Eric Bourne

Meet Eric Bourne, a SoulCycle instructor passionate about finding meaning in everyday life and pushing his riders to be their best selves. “There is something about getting on the bike, mentally and physically pushing beyond your perceived limits, that is intensely rewarding," Eric explains. "I am able to cast aside all of the negativity of the past, of the day, and just get it done. It’s my emotional release...and when the right song comes on, I just let it all out.”  As someone who has always valued being physically active, he understands the power and the capability of the human body. Eric believes that both physical and spiritual nourishment are essential to maintaining a healthy life, and that’s why he chooses GoLive. You can find him sipping Spa or adding GoLive flavorless ready-to-mix packets to his smoothies to help him recover and rehydrate from his workouts.

#GoLiveBeYou

What motivates you?

“The possibility of what the future holds.”

What inspires you to get the most out of life?

“I’ve always been active and have had a need to move on a daily basis in order to have a sense of clarity and be the best person I can be. I was a former dancer and through that style of art & expression, I was introduced to the notion of spirituality—finding meaning, making connections and seeing the value in my performances, and, then applying it to everyday life. It was with SoulCycle, that I found a connection on the bike. There is something about getting on the bike—mentally and physically pushing beyond your perceived limits—that is intensely rewarding. I am able to cast aside all of the negativity of the past, the day and just get it done. It’s my emotional release, and when the right song comes on, I just let it all out.”

What’s a quote that you live by?

“One, remember to look up at the stars and not down at your feet. Two, never give up work. Work gives you meaning and purpose and life is empty without it. Three, if you are lucky enough to find love, remember it is there and don't throw it away.” – Steven Hawking

What does the term “healthy” mean to you?

“Good mental health. Having self-confidence and knowing your self-worth is of utmost importance.  It is about getting up every day, making smart goals, accomplishing small tasks and celebrating your accomplishments. I also believe that the act of being kind and taking care of yourself will be projected on to others and encourage them to make more healthful decisions."

What’s your favorite GoLive flavor?

“SPA! It’s so fresh! It’s like a facial mask for your gut. Superfruit is also fantastic!”
