Our Food is Dead. True Story.
The modernization of our food supply has negatively impacted our consumption of good bacteria. While the processes of irradiation, pasteurization and preservation have provided benefits (e.g., eliminating bad bacteria, extending shelf life), they have had the unintended consequence of eliminating beneficial bacteria (probiotics) from our diets. The result has been a fundamental disruption in the balance of bacteria (good, bad and neutral) in our gastrointestinal tracts.

GoLive started with a microbiologist on a mission to make people healthier. He understood that many of our modern health issues stemmed from a lack of bacterial colonization in the gut. Unfortunately, the majority of products on the market list “probiotics” on their labels, but do not contain clinically-tested, human-commensurate live probiotics in their products. GoLive products and packaging have been designed and formulated by microbiologists and dietitians to emulate nature and ensure delivery and consumption of probiotics in a dynamic, live and growing state vs. a static state (pills and capsules) or a post-fermented state. We only use human-commensurate probiotic strains and never add yeast or spores (e.g., Bacillus coagulans, Lactobacillus sporogenes).

While we all have our roles in sales and marketing, production, product development, social media, etc., no role is as important as educating and helping consumers make sense of the confusion and clutter in the marketplace and the widespread misuse of “probiotics” in product labeling.
